AhNiYvWiYa is a legal corporation name registered in the State of Missouri. AhNiYvWiYa is registered with the Internal Revenue Service of the United States of America as a 501C3 Non-profit Native American Tribe under the categories of Religion and Education.

AhNiYvWiYa Inc. Tribe of Native People is not under treaty with the Federal Government, therefore is not Federally Recognized.

AhNiYvWiYa Tribal land is owned by the Corporation and held in common for the Tribal people by the Tribal Council.

The AhNiYvWiYa Tribe of Native People was excluded from all treaty benefits given to the Cherokee. We do not get any Federal or State subsidies of any kind. All funds must be secured by our own people. This leaves us often with little finances to meet the needs of our people. Donations are the only way we can obtain finances for our people.

This is why we seek and ask interested people to help by making donations to the Tribe. No person, be it Chief, Council Member or any person working in any capacity receives any financial compensation from Tribal money. All workers are volunteer. All donations are used for the general expenses of the Tribe which includes a building fund for the Council Lodge. All spending must be approved by the Tribal Council with check and balance so no one person can control any finances.

The Tribe gives a tax write-off for all donations. These are recorded and a receipt is mailed at the end of the year to the address accompanying the donation.
